Welcome to The Trident Radar!
A quieter week in the cyber market.
One thing immediately stood out in the data: no Israeli deals this week. For a country that usually appears weekly across seed, Series A and growth rounds, that absence is notable but likely temporary with Cybertech Global happening this week.
Lets dive in.
This weeks Trident Talks!
In this episode of #TridentTalks, Max Horseman sits down with Sandy Kronenberg, the CEO and Founder of Netarx, to unpack what deepfake-enabled fraud looks like in the real world, and why most organisations are still exposed.

OT & CPS security back in force: Claroty’s $150M Series F gives us a return back to industrial, operational, and cyber-physical security.
Cyber + insurance keeps maturing: Stoïk’s Series C reinforces the bundling of prevention, response, and financial protection.
Developer-first security continues to attract capital: Symbiotic Security and Asymmetric Security show investors still want to shift security left but with AI doing the coaching this time.
Early-stage AI SecOps remains crowded but funded: AiStrike and The Security Bulldog show continued appetite for tooling that reduces analyst cognitive load.

Nothing of note this week!!
INSIDER INSIGHT

A fascinating new study from Google researchers and UCL has uncovered something recruiters and HR professionals should be paying attention to: the scale at which people struggle with digital privacy, security is enormous and growing fast.
By analysing over 1.1 billion Reddit posts from 2021-2024, the researchers identified 3 million instances of people actively seeking help with digital safety issues. The findings paint a picture that's directly relevant to how we think about candidate and client interactions.
The numbers are striking:
Help-seeking posts grew 66% in the last year alone, with over 100,000 questions posted monthly by the end of 2024. The top concerns? Scams (28%), account access issues (20%), and privacy tool configuration (20%). But perhaps most interesting for those of us in recruitment: harassment-related queries accounted for 10% of posts.
What does this mean for Trident and you?
The study reveals that people don't just want technical fixes, they're seeking three things: sensemaking ("What's actually happening here?"), guidance ("What should I do next?"), and therapeutic support ("Am I overreacting?"). This mirrors what we often see in recruitment when candidates face unusual requests or suspicious communications claiming to be from employers.
With employment scams increasingly sophisticated, this research underscores why trusted intermediaries matter. The researchers found that generic, one-size-fits-all security advice fails users because their situations involve "complex combinations of threats, platforms, mitigations, context, and emotions."
For us, it's a reminder that our role extends beyond matching candidates to roles, we're often the first line of trust verification in an increasingly murky digital landscape.
COMPANY SPOTLIGHT

Reducing analyst overload with AI-driven clarity
Website - The Security Bulldog
The Security Bulldog is an early-stage cybersecurity company focused on one of the most persistent problems in security operations: cognitive overload.
What they do
The platform uses AI and natural language processing to curate, contextualise, and surface cybersecurity intelligence in a way that’s human-friendly and actionable. Rather than dumping raw alerts or feeds on analysts, it aims to reduce noise and accelerate understanding.
Why it’s interesting
Focused explicitly on decision-making speed and clarity, not just detection
Built around natural-language interaction rather than dashboards alone
Targets a universal pain point across SOCs: too much information, not enough context
Funding
$400K pre-seed led by Right Side Capital Management
Capital will be used to accelerate development of its AI-powered intelligence platform
The Trident Take
This is a small round but it aligns with a big theme. As AI increases the volume and complexity of security signals, tools that compress complexity into usable insight become disproportionately valuable. Not every winner in this market needs to be a platform giant.
